In 1989 BOS worked inventively on slot recovery project on Hilal A, Which was a platform for Gupco operations. This cooperation with Gupco resulted in Borais Deflecting Conductor sleeve (DCS) as a diver-less and weather Independent Slot Recovery Tool. Borais has recovered a total of 30 slots on different platforms saving over $120,000,000 for the Egyptian oil industry.
While BOS was working within Gupco operations in 1992, BOS had developed the Dynamic Surge Device (DSD) to optimize completions. More than 800 tools were manufactured and run successfully and saved about 6000 $ USD per run
Borais had developed Lifting Platform (L.P) which provide space to store and accommodate equipment on offshore platforms. Two tools were installed on Gupco platforms.
Borais had developed and manufactured Hydraulic Overshot (HO), to be able to change grabble size down hole e.g. in 7" liner can catch fish size 3.1” to 3.6”.
Borais Solvent Injector (SI) was developed to clean the gas lift mandrel to and gas-lift valve by injecting only the required volumes of solvent /acid around the valve, avoiding unnecessary dripping volumes of acid or solvent to affect the other parts of completion.
Borais Agitator was developed to help in cleaning drilling cutting especially in highly deviated wells by agitating all cutting at the low side of the hole to assist mud to carry minimize hole problems.
Borais marine mobile platform provides extra space for rigless operations; minimize waiting on weather and replacing costly barge or tack up rigs.

Dynamic Surge Disk service
Borais invented the Dynamic Surge Disk (DSD) as a down hole completion tool, this tool is used by many operators since 1992. The DSD has resulted in 6-8 hours rig time saving per each completion well, and eliminated possibility of pulling out production string if the wire line plug is stuck in EX nipple. More than 800 tools were sold to Oil Companies.
Slot Recovery work for offshore platforms
Borais introduced the Borais Deflecting Conductor Sleeve (DCS) since 1989. This tool is a very effective slot recovery tool on offshore drilling platform. Minimum rig time requirement is secured by DCS when compared to different slot recovery techniques. 30 slots were recovered, saving More than US $120,000,000 for Egypt oil industry.
Lifting Platform ”LP”
In 1992 Borais created and developed Borais Lifting Platform L.P as hydraulically operated lift platform to provide additional storage area and to facilitate the movement of heavy equipment while working on the helideck. Borais Lifting Platform L.P is professionally used at most of Gulf of Suez platforms.

Unloading / Sliding Sleeve Device “USD”
Borais had developed Unloading / Sliding Sleeve Device (USD), as a down flow control device to be installed in the completion above the packer. It is hydraulically operated to establish to tubing communication and to be used in conjunction with the “DSD” to displace the tubing volume with lighter fluid to activate the DSD. It has a seating nipple profile with sliding sleeve to act as flow control device. Currently, the tool is under test and assessment phase.
